Deepening Learning While Really Experiencing Growth

Stepping higher in addition to having learned the physics, chemistry, and mathematics that constitute a foundation.
Aiming to acquire, through lectures, practice, and experimentation, society-applicable specialist knowledge as skills that can be used with perfect freedom.

How Learning Takes Place

3 + 3 + 3-type Education System
A path to the three majors (Graduate School of Engineering) directly linked to the subject is offered through a structure that seamlessly integrates the undergraduate and graduate schools. Late specialization has been adopted to allow careful thought of one's own specialized field after acquiring broad knowledge, and students take up graduate research specialized to an area of expertise only upon a laboratory assignment in the fourth year. Through this, we implement a 3 + 3 + 3-type Education System comprising three-year fundamental education, three-year professional education (four-year bachelor's and two-year master's courses) and three-year advanced professional education (three-year doctoral course).

4-year Bachelor1st year: Acquisition of fundamentals

Learning the fundamental scholarship and knowledge for learning engineering

3-year fundamental education
2nd year: Forging a path toward specialization

Comprehensively learning knowledge for research in a leading-edge field and coming to know the appeal and enjoyment of materials

3rd year: Deepening the area of expertise

Selecting by the student study subjects in line with a model and sights fixed on the future, and advancing into a deeper world of engineering
Acquiring, through practice, future-oriented knowledge and skills in a specialized field

Laboratory Assignment
4th year: Experiencing the joy of leading-edge research

Through preparing a graduate thesis, dedicating oneself completely to research making use of the most leading-edge equipment

3-year professional education
2-year MasterGraduate School of Engineering (Master's Course)

Materials Design Innovation Engineering
Materials Process Engineering
Chemical Systems Engineering

3-year DoctorateGraduate School of Engineering (Doctoral Course)

Materials Design Innovation Engineering
Materials Process Engineering
Chemical Systems Engineering

3-year advanced professional education
